Thanks for visiting Insight Out Life Coaching with Kirsten Mahoney.
Since choosing a life coach is such a personal decision, I thought I might tell you a bit about myself while you are here.

WHERE I AM NOW
I am a certified Life Balance Coach and CEO for Insight Out Life Coaching. As a Life Balance
Coach, I combine my natural curiosity and compassion with my expertise and knowledge to empower people to live more balanced, less stressful lives. My approach incorporates one-on-one coaching, workshops and presentations, as well as corporate wellness programs.
My clients include Clif Bar, Wells Fargo, Facebook, Cisco and Ebay/PayPal. I enjoy speaking nationally, live and for the media, on the subjects of life balance and stress management. I have been featured several times on ABC television’s “View From the Bay”
I am also author of Insights, an international monthly publication on Life Balance.
Prior to becoming a Life Balance Coach, I performed as Director of Operations for non-profit and for profit companies where I had the great fortune to travel internationally to present workshops.
I have worked and studied on five continents and have traveled throughout thirty-five countries. Much of my understanding of people and the life balance choices they make has been informed by my diverse traveling experiences.
I have earned a BA in Sociology, an MA in Education and a Professional Coaching Certification through the International Coaching Federation accredited program at New Ventures West.
HOW I GOT HERE
I’m a life-long explorer of my inner and outer worlds.
I have learned countless things along the way but here are just a few highlights
I’d like to share.
- As a certified integral life coach, I have learned that once people stop feeling overwhelmed they dramatically increase their capacity to create a more balanced life.
- As a Director of Operations in an international business, I learned that the greatest way for my staff to grow was to give them the space and support to release their potential.
- As a volunteer life coach for Girls on the Run, a program that instills self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training, I have learned how much there is to learn from children.
- As a world traveler I have learned that listening to yourself is the only true way not to get lost.
- As a practiced expatriate, who has worked and studied abroad, I learned how to expand my comfort zones, ground myself in unfamiliar lands and always expect the unexpected.
- As a vipassana meditation practitioner, I have learned the transforming effects of meditation on my daily life.
- As a Zhineng qigong and Tae Bo practitioner, I have learned the power of intention on healing and that inner strength can come through outward movement.
- As a woman with a decidedly irreverent sense of humor I have learned that few things are more important than being able to laugh at myself and the absurdity around me.
- As an integrated whole person, I have learned that my family and friends are my lifeblood—without them my soul would have less reason to smile.
